It helped to raise a total of...

£318

for the My WiSH Charity

which supports the West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds.

The business, which is based in Isleham, raised the money for the charity’s Love Your Nodes Appeal, which was launched in July last year with the aim of raising £25,000 for a SentiMag machine to help with the removal of lymph nodes for breast cancer patients.

The company held a stall at the Isleham Gala where, they had a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses plus a wheelbarrow full of drinks which they raffled off too.

Staff member Billy Thulborne took part in the fun run with a chainsaw on his back, which weighed 20 kilogrammes.

MyWishHe was also dressed in his uniform (harness, chainsaw trousers and steel toe cap boots) making the challenge a lot harder.

Joint owner Laura Thake, who has been treated at the hospital for breast cancer, said: “I was firstly overwhelmed by the generosity of people who gave many of the prizes and then the wonderful response from everyone who showed support by buying the tickets.

And her partner in the business Paul Goldsmith, added: “I was really pleased to be able to help raise awareness of the charity.”
